چکیده

Mechanical properties of supramolecular elastomers (reversible polymer networks with chains connected by and dynamic covalent bonds) differ noticeably from those conventional cross-links. Due to the ability polymers be reprocessed, reshaped, recycled reused, they are considered as potential candidates for green sustainable economy. A simple model is developed viscoplastic behavior at large strains. The involves only four five material parameters describes adequately response under tension, compression cyclic loading in a unified manner. governing equations applied analysis experimental stress–strain diagrams on various types reversible bonds. Good agreement revealed between observations results numerical analysis. Correlations established concentrations bonds adjustable model.

Modeling the thermoelastic–viscoplastic response of polycrystals using a continuum representation over the orientation space

Conventional methodologies towards polycrystal plasticity use an aggregate of single crystals and this choice of the aggregate affects the response of the polycrystal. In order to address this issue, a continuum approach is presented for the representation of polycrystals through an orientation distribution function over the orientation space. Additionally, a constitutive framework for thermoel...

Modeling and simulation of liquid-crystal elastomers.

We consider a continuum model describing the dynamic behavior of nematic liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) and implement a numerical scheme to solve the governing equations. In the model, the Helmholtz free energy and Rayleigh dissipation are used, within a Lagrangian framework, to obtain the equations of motion. The free energy consists of both elastic and liquid crystalline contributions, each...

Computational Modeling of Ferromagnetics and Magnetorheological Elastomers

The aim of this work is to present new variational-based computational modeling approaches for selected materials that have coupled magnetic and mechanical properties. In order to solve the magnetomechanically coupled boundary value problems, we employ the finite element method and also discuss certain aspects that are peculiar to magnetomechanical problems such as the unity constraint on the m...

Mechanical response of smectic-C elastomers.

The elastic response of a smectic-C elastomer to three deformations, namely imposed lambda(xx), lambda(xz), and lambda(zz), has been modeled using a nonlinear theory of a nematic elastomer with embedded smectic layers, and with the director tilt (in the x direction) at a fixed angle with respect to the smectic layer normal (z direction). The main focus is the elastic response after any soft mod...
